In Dr. Andrea Berardi’s lab, students characterize traits of flowers that attract pollinators such as flower color, shape, and scent. Currently, the Berardi Lab is working to identify factors preventing hybridization between two local wildfire species, Silene virginica and Silene caroliniana.

As an undergrad, Kamrin Shultz ('25) conducted research on membrane dynamics in Dr. Nate Wright's lab. Now at Icahn School of Medicine, she is studying to earn her Master's of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Her research focuses on mitochondrial involvement in prostate cancer.
