Congratulations to Dr. Kailin Deters, DO'14!

Have you heard the news? Our Bon Secours Bariatric Surgery Program has achieved accreditation as an MBSAQIP Low Acuity Center through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program!

"Having an accredited program means so much to me because it shows our patients and our community that we can provide the highest level of care to our patients and provide great outcomes to those who need it most! Having this designation demonstrates our commitment to providing good care for our community," shares Dr. Kaitlin Deters.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, nursing staff, anesthesia providers, dietitians, therapists, leadership and support services who work together to improve the health and lives of our community every day.

✨ Our program offers:
• Comprehensive bariatric surgery care
• Evidence-based patient education and support
• A team-focused approach to long-term success
• Commitment to quality outcomes and patient safety

"If you have struggled with weight loss in the past or have lost weight and regained it back or are frustrated with traditional diets, then weight loss surgery can be a great option for you. If you feel like you’ve done everything right but can’t seem to reach your goals, surgery might be something to consider. You must be prepared to make changes to your lifestyle and eating behaviors and put the work in, but if you do, you can expect excellent results!"

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible milestone and to the patients who trust us with their care. We look forward to continuing to serve our community with excellence. If you are interested in booking an appointment with Dr. Kaitlin Deters and team, visit https://bit.ly/4tM2Fyg.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave people who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom and the courage it takes to protect it. At LMU-DCOM, we are deeply grateful for those who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the families who carry their legacy forward.

On this Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude, respect, and remembrance.

The LMU-DCOM alumni community sends its best wishes to Dr. Chris Loyke and congratulates Dr. Mark Browne and Dr. Teanna Moore on their new roles at LMU-DCOM!

Lincoln Memorial University continues to build on its role as a national leader in health professions education with leadership transitions at LMU-DCOM and across its health sciences programs.

Dr. Christopher Loyke has accepted a new leadership role, while Dr. Mark Browne has been named Chief Administrative Officer for Health Sciences and Dr. Teanna Moore has been named Dean and Chief Academic Officer of LMU-DCOM.

We are grateful for Dr. Loyke’s leadership and the strong foundation he helped build for LMU-DCOM, including growth, strong student outcomes and a high-performing academic team.

As Dr. Browne and Dr. Moore step into their new roles, LMU is well positioned to accelerate that momentum by expanding programs, strengthening outcomes and continuing to prepare physicians and health professionals ready to serve communities that need them most.
