What a way to send off the Class of 2027 Blue!

Today we celebrated the end of didactic classes and officially sent the Class of 2027 off to Clinical Year. It was a great afternoon filled with good food, photos, laughter, and one last chance for faculty and staff to wish them well before they begin clinics across the country.

We’re proud of everything this class has accomplished over the past three years and excited to see what’s ahead for them in this next chapter.

Access to care can change lives for pets and the people who love them. LMU‑CVM students put service into action by providing free vaccines and microchips to 162 dogs and cats from our surrounding community! This student‑led effort removed real barriers to veterinary care while delivering hands‑on learning with purpose. Service and education working together to support healthier communities.

For students working toward careers in veterinary medicine, the journey is built through steady work, focused training, and real clinical experience.

Three LMU College of Veterinary Medicine students were recently awarded national scholarships recognizing their commitment to hands on learning in areas like dermatology and internal medicine.

That kind of recognition comes from training that pushes students to grow and brings them closer to the work they want to do.
