Join Dr. Italo Subbarao, Dean of WCU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, as he presents, “By His Stripes: A Clinical Examination of the Passion and Suffering of Christ”, a profound medically rigorous exploration of the physical trauma endured by Jesus during His Passion and Death. Dr. Subbarao will conduct a detailed anatomical and pathological review of our Savior’s profound injuries examining the physiological mechanisms of scourging, crowning, and crucifixion. Using the forensic evidence and wound patterns indicated on the ‘Shroud of Turin’ as a comparative model, this presentation sheds stark clinical light on the sheer physical reality of Christ's suffering and sacrifice. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, September 15, at 5:30 pm in WCU Bass Chapel.

Our team was honored to attend the ribbon cutting for the new Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center Primary Care clinic. It was great to see former faculty member Dr. Keith Speed and our many alumni that are a part of their Family Medicine residency program. The clinic is a great addition for southwest Mississippi and will provide much needed care for our neighbors.
