Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a nationally-recognized men's social fraternity, bringing together musicians of any and all walks of life together within a common bond. Sinfonia is open to any male college student or faculty member of at least 18 years of age who has a love of music and wants to better himself as a man and as a musician. Phi Mu Alpha currently holds 239 chapters in 45 states and has init

iated over 100,000 members throughout the years. The original Eta Phi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia was brought to USM's campus on May 15, 1957. After over 50 years of dedication to Sinfonia and the music department at USM, the Eta Phi Chapter went inactive in 2007. In the Fall of 2009, Phi Mu Alpha was reintroduced to the students at USM. Men were recruited for the cause and Eta Phi was granted colony status on December 8, 2010. Just over a year and a half later, after much hard work and dedication, the colony was approved for Phase II of colonization and on October 28, 2012, the Eta Phi Chapter was reactivated.

Welcome to a hot new semester everyone!

For those who don’t know who we are, Phi Mu Alpha is an all male-aligned music fraternity whose goal is to share and enjoy music with a specific goal of advancing music in America. We are also a social fraternity which means our only “requirements” is to meet, have fun, and enjoy our company as a Brotherhood and as Brothers. We sincerely hope you join us THIS WEEK for our rush week, which can only be described in one word: Fun.

🗓️: September 2nd - 5th is Phi Mu Alpha’s Eta Phi chapter rush week for the cool people interested in joining our fraternity, regardless of major and age.

We hope whoever is interested can join us any given day! We love sharing our company and having a blast with people who are interested, especially at Laser Tag night. 🫣🤗
