We are so proud of Ashlyn Henderson! She earned her BA in English this past December and has already started her teaching career at Clara Elementary/Middle School, teaching 5th and 6th grade writing. On top of that, she has begun her graduate studies at Carey this spring. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things Ashlyn will accomplish in her teaching and academic journey!.

Ashlynn Henderson successfully completed her Residency II placement at Clara Middle School, where she taught seventh-grade English. Under the mentorship of her university supervisor, Dr. David Lowery, and her cooperating teacher, Mrs. Jessica Allbrook, Ms. Henderson refined her pedagogical skills and professional practice. Ashlyn will continue her work at Clara this spring in a long-term substitute position, where she will teach Creative Writing to students in fifth and sixth grade.
