Ever wonder how your body uses energy when you’re at rest?
MSU-Northern Integrated Health Science students are looking for adults in Hill County to participate in a research project measuring resting metabolic rate. The simple, non-invasive test measures oxygen use and CO₂ output to help determine how much energy your body uses at rest, and whether your body primarily burns fats or carbohydrates.
By participating, you’ll:
• Learn more about your own metabolism and energy use
• Contribute to research focused on women’s health
• Give Northern students valuable hands-on research experience
Who: Adults 18+ living in Hill County
When: Monday–Friday, 6 a.m.–4 p.m., through November
What to expect: No needles or blood draws, and all data is confidential and de-identified.
