Jarvis Christian University has been awarded a $130,000 NetVUE grant from the Council of Independent Colleges to launch Chapel as Curriculum, an innovative initiative that will transform chapel into a campus-wide framework for vocational formation.

This four-year project will help students explore the intersection of faith, purpose, leadership, and career through a thematic chapel series, Chapel Labs, faculty mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities.

By integrating spiritual formation with academic and professional development, Jarvis continues its commitment to educating the head, the heart, and the hand while preparing graduates for lives of purpose, service, and leadership.

We are grateful to the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE) and the Council of Independent Colleges for investing in the future of Jarvis students.

Jarvis Christian University proudly announces the establishment of the Dr. John F. Johnson Endowed Scholarship, honoring the life, legacy, and service of Dr. Johnson.

For more than 51 years, Dr. Johnson served as a dedicated science professor at Jarvis, educating, and inspiring generations of students before his passing in 2024. His enduring commitment to academic excellence and student success will continue through this scholarship bearing his name.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Beverly Waddleton Johnson and the Johnson family for their generous support and for ensuring that Dr. Johnson’s remarkable legacy will continue to make a difference in the lives of Jarvis students for generations to come.
