’Twas the night before the Tiger Nation Applied Tech Career Fair… and “Companies at a Glance” did NOT disappoint!

A huge thank you to The Law Company, KBS Constructors, Walters Morgan, and Ampere for kicking off the excitement and giving our students a great look into your companies, your goals, and the opportunities ahead.

We especially appreciated having three Tiger alumni come home to share their experiences and talk about the companies they now represent. It was a great reminder of the impact our graduates are making in the industry!

Students from both Fort Hays State University and Fort Hays Tech | North Central were in attendance, making it a great night of connections, conversations, and career preparation.

And now… the big day is here! With more than 70 companies planning to fill the CATS Building tomorrow, the energy is going to be incredible.

Tiger Nation is ready!

What a great way to kick off the Career Fair. Tomorrow is going to be a GREAT day to be a Tiger!

A big thank you to Hess Services for partnering with Mr. Howard’s Site Preparation and Foundation class for our first practice pour of the fall semester!

For many of our students, this was their first hands-on experience with concrete placement and finish work. It was a great opportunity to put classroom knowledge to practice.

A little hard work and some fun in the sun! Nice job Tigers!

It’s great to have students back in the CATS Building!

Tonight, a group of Applied Tech students gathered to hear from senior students and faculty about the many opportunities available through our student organizations...TEECA, EPT, and AGC.

Over pizza and great conversation, we shared stories about professional networking, student competitions, leadership opportunities, and, perhaps most importantly, making lifelong friends along the way.

This is what student leadership is all about...learning, connecting, growing, and creating experiences that last well beyond the classroom.

A great night to be a Tiger!

Today marked the start of the fall 2026 school year. We hosted 40 new students at the annual academic department orientation session this morning. This orientation session is a targeted welcome meeting where new students meet department faculty, learn about major-specific student groups, and tour the CATS Building...and faculty get to learn a little about our new students as well. Monday we should have a full house in the building. It was a great Day to be a Tiger!!!
