We’re excited to share that CSUEB’s Rees Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic has expanded its Gender-Affirming Voice Services!
Our clinic offers individual and group voice services provided by graduate student clinicians under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist. These services support individuals in exploring their voice and communication goals in an affirming environment.

This past weekend, department faculty member Dr. Gkalitsiou and students from the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) joined the Science in the Park event on campus!
Students got creative by making brain hats with children while teaching them about the brain and its connection to speech, language, and hearing. 🧠
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community, introduce families to Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, and make learning about communication sciences fun, interactive, and accessible!

✨ Good news! Two required Bridge Program courses now fulfill ASHA prerequisites:

🧠 SLHS 401: Neuroanatomy & Physiology of Communication
→ Counts toward the ASHA Biological Sciences requirement

👂 SLHS 303: Hearing & Speech Science

Position Highlights:

🕣 Approximately 8:30 AM–3:00/3:30 PM
📍 Twin Oaks Montessori (Hayward, CA)

Jenny Rosenquist has served as the full-time lead clinical supervisor for the Rees Clinic since 2007. She has taught and/or supervised nearly all of the graduate students who have gone through our clinic in the past 19 years, as well as many, many cohorts of undergrads. Jenny also contributed to the department's priorities by serving on various department committees and contributing to decision-making and by leading the SLPA Certificate program since its inception. Jenny has made a huge impact on our department and on many professionals now working in the East Bay. We are grateful for her leadership and valuable collaborations. Happy retirement day, Jenny!
