Behind every student's journey is a network of family members, supporters, mentors, and loved ones cheering them on. That's why Elia, Brianna, and Walter are here to help parents and supporters feel connected to the East Bay community. As well as highlight the experience our Pioneers with dependents have on campus and advocate for them 🫂
From sharing their own experiences as students to helping families navigate resources, events, and campus life, they're passionate about creating a welcoming environment where students and their support systems can grow together.

💛 Meet Elia 💛
A Chabot College transfer and current Master of Public Administration student, Elia is passionate about building community and helping students find their place at CSUEB. From serving as a Transfer Ambassador, Orientation Leader, President of Tau Sigma, to co-founding Wayfinders, the university's Pacific Islander student organization, her work focuses on creating meaningful connections and opportunities for student success 🌱
As a first-generation college student, Elia is motivated by her family, ancestors, and the future she's working to build. She believes being a Pioneer means taking risks, trusting the process, and helping create spaces where others feel welcomed.
When she's not on campus, she's probably junk journaling, wandering around San Francisco, hunting for new Smiskis, or spending money she should probably be saving. She believes that growth happens when you're willing to show up, take risks, and invest in the communities that invest in you. Her current motto is: To be a part of a village, you need to be a villager 🛶
💚 Meet Walter 💚
A Biology major with a concentration in Forensic Science and a minor in Chemistry, Walter is a first-generation college student from Oakland who believes in making the most of every opportunity 🧪
Walter found a home at CSUEB through his involvement with Orientation and Tau Kapp
