⛈️ Earlier this week, storms ravaged southeastern Kentucky, leaving behind scattered tree limbs, downed power lines, and other damage.

⚡ When severe weather strikes, our lineworker alums are prepared to answer the call. Braving difficult conditions, they work to repair vital infrastructure, restore power, and help keep our communities operating.

🎉 Congratulations to the local high school students who recently earned their Community Health Worker certificates!

⚕️ This six-credit-hour certificate prepares students for the scope of practice of community health workers, with an emphasis on communication, community outreach, advocacy, health coaching, organization, and the legal and ethical responsibilities of the profession.

💙 The Community Health Worker certificate is currently available to area high school students in collaboration with HCTC Workforce and the UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health!

🤩 We are proud of these students for taking an important step toward careers that strengthen the health and well-being of our communities.

🦺 OSHA-10 training is underway at Hazard Community & Technical College!

👏 Participants are gaining practical knowledge in workplace safety, hazard awareness, and prevention while working toward an industry-recognized credential. We are proud to support local workers and employers through hands-on training that strengthens both safety and workforce readiness.
