Hofstra University brought together health leaders, researchers, and community partners during National Public Health Week (NPHW) to examine a simple but powerful idea that people can shape how they live, heal, and thrive through what they eat. 👏

The Food As Medicine Conference explored how nutrition-based interventions can assist with the management of chronic diseases, reduce health disparities, and strengthen community well-being. The half-day event featured a keynote address and presentations focused on local initiatives across Long Island. 💙

What an incredible celebration at the Creative Arts Therapy (CATCH) Art Show in honor of National Public Health Week 💫

There were so many powerful and moving art pieces, from paintings to sculptures and mixed media, each reflecting our theme “Ready, Set, Action.” The exhibition truly highlighted how art therapy plays a vital role in public health by fostering connection, resilience, and community.

The event was filled with so much joy, sharing food with family and friends, engaging in creative activities like bracelet making and sticker foraging, and exploring so many beautiful raffle baskets. It was inspiring to see our community come together to celebrate creativity and purpose.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, attended, and supported this meaningful event 🤍
