🎓 Meet Niaz Najafi, a member of Hofstra Law’s Class of 2026.

Niaz found her passion for litigation through Moot Court, where she later served as Director of Competitions and an interscholastic competitor. She was also deeply involved in the Youth Advocacy Clinic, the Family Court Review, and student organizations across campus.

After graduation, Niaz will join Harris, Keenan & Goldfarb as a Personal Injury Attorney.

“With Moot Court, what started as trying something new became the experience that shaped my path in law school.”

🎓 Justin Knight is one of our Hofstra Law Pro Bono Scholar December graduates!

Justin built a well-rounded law school experience through the Hofstra Defender Clinic, leadership in the Dispute Resolution Society, and his work as an Associate Editor of the ACTEC Law Journal.

After graduation, he will join Blank Rome LLP as a Litigation Associate.
His advice for incoming students?

🎓 Meet Caitlin McDonough, one of our Hofstra Law 2026 graduates!

Caitlin gained hands-on experience through the Prosecution Practicum, where she handled her own cases and developed a strong foundation in advocacy. She was also active in HTAA, Moot Court, and the Hofstra Law Review.

“The Practicum taught me that prosecutorial discretion carries not only legal significance but also moral weight.”

After graduation, Caitlin will join the Manhattan District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney.

🎓 Meet Howard Svensson, Class of ‘26!

Howard built an impressive record as an Articles Editor on Hofstra Law Review, a Moot Court Board Senior Staff Member, and a Business Law Honors Fellow.

This fall, he will serve as a Term Law Clerk to Judge Louis A. Scarcella of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

“Hofstra Law has prepared me for my future by offering the opportunity to explore many different areas of the law, allowing me to discover what I am passionate about.”
