A new exhibition by the Hofstra University Museum of Art opening on Tuesday, September 8, explores what happens when 20th- and 21st-century women artists reinterpret those ideals through their experiences and modern perspectives.

Deconstructing Venus, running at Hofstra’s Emily Lowe Gallery through December 11, 2026, challenges, reconsiders, and expands traditional ideas about femininity and women’s roles in society.

Hempstead, NY – In a joint announcement by Hofstra University and the United Soccer League (USL), James M. Shuart has been announced as the home venue for the USL Long Island franchise to begin competition in USL League One in 2028, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation sanctioning approval.
