🌎 Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! 🩵💗

Today, The Elite Ladies of Gamma Omicron Chapter of Sigma Beta Xi Sorority, Inc. honors and celebrates Indigenous peoples, recognizing their rich histories, diverse cultures, traditions, resilience, and lasting contributions to our communities and our nation.

Observed on the second Monday in October, Indigenous Peoples’ Day is an opportunity to acknowledge the history and enduring impact of colonization on Indigenous communities while honoring their strength, heritage, and continued presence.

May we continue to learn, listen, uplift Indigenous voices, and show respect for the people and cultures that have shaped this land for generations.

Today and every day, we honor Indigenous peoples, their heritage, and their legacy. 🤎🌿
