🎉 What an incredible evening! Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night's Neighborhood Health Series event: Exploring Roseman's Graduate Studies Programs: the People, the Pathways, the Professions.
Last night's conversation was inspiring, honest, and full of insight. We're so grateful to our amazing panelists who shared their time, expertise, and stories:
👩🔬 Faculty
• Dr. Jeffery Talbot, VP of Research, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies — The driving force behind Roseman's graduate mission and the evening's featured presenter.
• Dr. Casey Sayre, Assistant Dean for Research, College of Pharmacy and Program Director, MSPS, College of Graduate Studies — A passionate advocate for research and student success.
🎓 Students & Graduates
• Melika Cummings, MBS Class of 2026 — A current MBS student with a background in emergency medicine and genetic bioinformatics research. Melika's interests span oncology, biomarkers, drug development, and the application of AI in medicine. She will be joining the second cohort in Roseman's College of Medicine, with aspirations in Ob/Gyn or Maternal and Fetal Medicine.
• Joshua Axtell, MSPS Class of 2027 — A current MSPS student whose work bridges regenerative medicine, cancer cell biology, and computational bioinformatics. Joshua brings real-world experience in regenerative medicine to his research.
• Ariana Fagaragan, MBS Class of 2025 | DMD Class of 2029 — A graduate of our MBS program who is now enrolled in Roseman's Doctor of Dental Medicine program. Ariana's research explores the psychosocial experiences of individuals with cleft lip and palate — a beautiful example of how an MBS can launch the next chapter.
💛 A special thank you to our moderator, Vanessa Maniago, Vice President for Strategic Implementation and Engagement, for guiding such a thoughtful and engaging conversation. Vanessa's warmth and leadership made the evening truly shine.
The Neighborhood Health Series brings our community together every month around topics that matter — and this one was truly special. 💙 Stay tuned, because our next Neighborhood Health Series event is coming in May — you won't want to miss it!
