✨Staff Spotlight✨ Meet part-time clinical supervisor Jocelyn Arias!
Jocelyn is a first-generation Latina, born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in 2021 and then Master’s of Education in Speech and Language Pathology from Nevada State University in 2023. 🦂
Currently she works with the adult population in an outpatient and inpatient setting focusing on stroke recovery, neuro-rehabilitation, dysphagia management, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The services provided aim to ensure adequate safety and independence, as well as, maximizing quality of life and reintegration through client-centered care.
Alongside her clinical practice, Jocelyn serves as a clinical educator, supervising and mentoring graduate students providing both bilingual and feeding therapy services at the RiteCare Clinic. She strives to maintain clients’ linguistic identities by guiding graduate students to reducing barriers to care while providing culturally and linguistically responsive services. 👏
In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys reading, cooking great food, traveling to other countries, working on puzzles, going to concerts, and cuddling with her dog. 🧩📖🐶
