On this Good Friday, we’re reminded of the One who walked this earth, knowing it wasn’t His home — but loving it deeply all the same. As we reflect and prepare to finish the year strong, we’re grateful for all who make Hesston feel like home — a place of purpose, connection and belonging. 💛

A big shout out to the amazing volunteers who helped safely remove the cottonwood tree behind Erb Hall!

We’re incredibly grateful to:
John Miller ’76, ’89, former HC campus facilities employee
Paul Unruh Ac58, ’60, dedicated community member
Marc Yoder ’61, former HC academic dean
Bob King, professional arborist from Colorado Springs

Why the change? As Marc Yoder explained, “We cut down the cottonwood tree because it was rotting from the inside, and some of the branches were hollow. Plus, the cotton kept clogging the air conditioners and even flew into dorm windows!”

While we’ll definitely miss the shade, we won’t miss the fluff! Thanks again to this hard working crew for helping keep our campus safe and comfortable!

Today's formation featured Bel Canto Singers leading us in a hymn followed by a ritual of service to one another - washing of feet (and hands) - just like Jesus did. What a blessing to see our students walking out servant leadership!

Nothin' see here...just a bunch of Larks enjoying a beautiful spring evening on campus! 🥏🌼

A group of students, faculty and staff gathered at Sieber Field last night for a spirited game of Ultimate Frisbee, organized by Intramurals Coordinator Kade Mitchell (red Hesston College T-shirt and backwards hat). It's safe to say, it was a fun time for all!

Say hello to Brandi Olivarez — a sophomore from Burleson, Texas, studying criminal justice who keeps campus life interesting!

She’s a student worker, a flag football player and, in her words, a professional at annoying Nicholas Meis (HC's sports information director)!

When she’s not working or on the field, you’ll probably find her gaming; esports is her go-to way to relax — and win, obviously.

We're thrilled to have you here Brandi!

Hey! My name is Tana Hayworth. I'm a junior engineering student from Lincoln, Kansas, and this is a day in my life!
Started my day with Solid Mechanics at 10 a.m., and my brain was working overtime right away. After that, I worked media for formation and got to hear Whitney Douglas speak on healthy relationships, which was honestly super insightful. Then I grabbed lunch and then headed to Project Management at 1 p.m. After that, Devin Miller, Jessica Raharjo and I worked on plans for the new esports room for the Erb basement. Wrapped up the academic grind with Jesus and the Gospels 🙏 and then finally had a break! Kaylee Manning and I played It Takes Two (so chaotic but so fun 😂), then we grabbed supper and spent the rest of the night chilling with friends.
