Here's a look at another successful SSOE Career Fair and Principal Panel, which happened on April 16th, 2026. A big thank you to Teresa Owens and Kim Wilson for planning and executing the event each year!!

HIGH POINT, N.C., May 4, 2026 – High Point University’s Stout School of Education welcomed 18 school districts from across North Carolina and 16 area principals to engage with senior education majors who wanted to make a good impression while interviewing for teaching positions after graduation.

Woohoo!!!! Shout out to all the hardworking students, faculty, and University Supervisors that support them in this process. Dr. Katy Field is our edTPA Coordinator and she works tirelessly to organize prep sessions throughout the semester culminating with the edTPA submission day session.

Last night the Education Fellows had their End of Year seminar. Dr. Kristy Davis presented on "The Impact of Passionate Teaching"

Honor's Day 2026! William Reeves, a Health and PE major, was recognized as the Extraordinary Educator for 2026. Mckayla Flood, Elementary Education, is our Outstanding Education Fellow for 2026. Elizabeth Ritter, Middle Grades Math, was recognized as a Junior Marshall. We are so proud of our Stout School of Education students and your wonderful accomplishments!

Student Teacher End of Year Celebration! Congrats to our Outstanding Student Teachers: Julia Attanasio, Diana Barravecchio, Crystal Miller, Emma Lagana, and Jessie Taylor. A big thanks for working with our student teachers goes out to Outstanding Cooperating Teachers Christine Motsinger and Elizabeth Ray. It was a well deserved celebration for all!!
