Fourth-year Northern Kentucky University triathlete and biological sciences student Molly Eide has always been interested in science, but it wasn’t until a life-changing diagnosis that she discovered her passion for research. When Eide was 15 years-old, her mother was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer.

We were honored to welcome Governor Andy Beshear to NKU’s School of the Arts as he visited the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts summer program.

A major milestone for NKU Chase College of Law.

Today, university leaders, community partners and elected officials gathered to break ground on the future home of Chase College of Law and UK College of Medicine, Commonwealth Center for Biomedical Excellence, in downtown Covington.

Scheduled for completion in 2028, Chase will occupy four floors of the Commonwealth Center for Biomedical Excellence, further positioning students for success through expanded access to legal, business and civic opportunities in the heart of the region.

When he first traveled abroad as an undergraduate at Nasson College, Gary Clayton experienced a world he had never imagined. Now, after 42 years of teaching at Northern Kentucky University, Dr. Clayton wants to give economics majors the same opportunity.

“We’re educators, and I think part of our job as educators is not to just educate people when we’re in the classroom, it’s to educate people whenever we can,” Dr. Gary Clayton says. “And that’s one of the things we’re trying to do with the endowment. We’re going to use these retirement funds to continue to educate students on the big, wide, wonderful world out there.”
