We are the Kappa Beta Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority established at Northern Kentucky University. Delta Zeta was the first sorority at NKU, founded in 1972.

Flower: The Killarney Rose (The Killarney Rose is a hybrid rose known to be the only rose that grows without thorns!)

Colors: Old Rose & Nile Green

Jewel: The Diamond

Mascot: The Turtle

Philanthropies: The Painted Turtle Camp, Starkey Hearing Foundation, Galludet University, and House Research Institute.

“Delta Zeta has felt like home in so many ways. This group of amazing women welcomes you in with loving arms and takes initiative to do whatever they can to create a supporting environment. Although I just finished my freshman year, it has felt like I have known these girls for years and will continue to build my life with so many positive people. I’m beyond grateful I still have so much time in college to make many more memories with these ladies and experience life together! I wouldn’t change going Greek for anything. 🩷 LITF!!!”

Over the weekend Kappa Beta had the privilege of sending our member, Faith Bailer, to the Norma Munch Andrisek Leadership Conference at Miami University! We are so blessed to have such wonderful opportunities to learn and grow with Delta Zeta. Hear what Faith has to say about her experience!

“If I had to sum up my past weekend in two words, I would say it was eye opening. Throughout the weekend we learned about Delta Zeta’s six core values; generosity, community, friendship, curiosity, empowerment, and belonging. As the weekend went on and we learned more and more about each value, I realized how much I could improve on each and everyone of these values. This weekend showed me how encouraging friendships could be made in a short 4 days, or how I learned about how important the value of belonging meant to me and how much a sorority can offer a sense of belonging to others. I can now strongly say that I came out of this experience with a stronger understanding of what it is to be a Delta Zeta, how I can improve my leadership skills, and how you can find so much in common with other Delta Zeta’s and build strong friendships with them no matter their background and where they come from.”
