For nearly three decades, A Taste of Hilo has celebrated Hawaiʻi Island’s culinary talent while helping cultivate the next generation. Now in its 28th year, the popular community event returns Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Sangha Hall, bringing together local chefs, restaurants and beverage purveyors while raising funds for community organizations including Hawaiʻi Community College.
This year’s event begins with the Fuji Experience at noon, an intimate culinary showcase featuring Chef Ernie Gray of Poke Market before the A Taste of Hilo main event begins at 1 p.m.
The main event for A Taste of Hilo features more than 25 food vendors beverage purveyors.
Hosted by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawaiʻi (JCCIH), A Taste of Hilo has become a longstanding community event that supports the island’s food and beverage industry while investing in future local talent.
General Admission (1–3 p.m.): $75
Fuji Experience + General Admission: $195, including early entry at noon, a special tasting with alcohol pairing and access to a reserved section during the event.
