The Nu Mu Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was honored to partner with the American Red Cross for our Sickle Cell Blood Donation Drive. Together, we raised awareness and helped provide lifesaving blood donations that are especially critical for individuals living with sickle cell disease.

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who answered the call to serve. Your generosity and commitment embody the true spirit of sisterhood, service, and community impact.

Every 2 seconds, someone needs blood; your blood donation will make a difference in someone's life, their loved one's life. Everyone needs blood; however, a patient with Sickle Cell disease may need up to 100 transfusions in a year.

Making waves and changing lives! 💙💛

Yesterday, the Nu Mu Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. proudly hosted our annual Swim 1922 event, and it was a tremendous success! From water safety education to building confidence in and around the water, we were honored to impact our community while continuing our commitment to service.

A special thank you to the Liberty County/Armed Services YMCA for their partnership and support in helping make this event possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together to promote water safety and provide valuable resources to our community.

Thank you to all of our participants, volunteers, partners, and supporters who contributed to a successful day. Together, we are helping create safer swimmers, stronger families, and a stronger community—one splash at a time!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing presenters — Soror Hicks, Soror Swan, Soror Lewis, and Soror Lawrence — for sharing such powerful and impactful conversations on mental health, children’s mental wellness, and Black maternal healthcare. Your knowledge, compassion, and authenticity truly made a difference.
