The Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Lala College Of Health Science and Technology, Gusau Zamfara State, proudly celebrates the successful and hitch-free conduct of the 2024/2025 National Examination under the purposeful and result-oriented leadership of Head of Department, Dr. Sulaiman Sani.

SRC PAY A FAMILIZATION VISIT AND HOLD A STRATEGIES MEETING TODAY.

The Ag. Executive Director, Ibrahim Lawal Lala, today received the leadership of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Executives in his office on a familiarization visit.

During the meeting, the SRC leadership formally introduced themselves and highlighted key issues relating to students’ welfare, academic environment, and effective collaboration with the management.

In his remarks, the Ag. Executive Director warmly welcomed the delegation and commended the SRC Executives for their initiative and sense of responsibility. He emphasized the importance of dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation in fostering a conducive learning environment within the institution.

SRC EXECUTIVES EMBARK ON FAMILIARIZATION VISIT TO KEY COLLEGE OFFICES

Date : 27th April, 2026.

The Patron, alongside the Dean of Students Affairs, today led the Student Representative Council (SRC) Executives on a familiarization visit to key administrative offices within the College.

The visit included strategic engagements with the Office of the Dean of Students Affairs, the Provost, and the Registrar. The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the newly elected SRC leadership, strengthen institutional relationships, and foster collaboration for effective student representation.

During the interactions, the College Management commended the SRC Executives for their initiative and emphasized the importance of unity, responsibility, and proactive leadership.

They offered valuable guidance on leadership expectations and encouraged the executives to uphold the interests of the student body with integrity and commitment.

The Provost, Dean of Students Affairs, and Registrar assured the SRC leadership of their full support and cooperation throughout their tenure, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to student development and inclusive leadership.

The Provost, Alh. Usman Ambaya Zurmi along with the Head of Department, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Dr. Suleiman Sani, Lala College of Health Science and Technology, Gusau Zamfara State Able Represented by Dir. Media and Publicity, honored an invitation and attended MLT Students Induction at Gusau College of Health Science and Technology,(CIS) Gusau, Zamfara State.

The occasion was for School of Medical Laboratory Science Induction Ceremony, conducted by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), held at Dr. Hafiz Memorial Hall.

This marks the 1st Combined Induction Ceremony for Medical Laboratory Technicians, with over 125 students successfully inducted.

BOOK DONATION TO THE COLLEGE LIBRARY

This Morning, the provost received a generous donation of academic books aimed at enhancing learning and research within the institution.

The donation was formally received by the Provost and subsequently handed over to the College Librarian for proper custody and distribution.

The donated book, titled “An Educational Research Method for Universities & Colleges”, authored by the Late Dr. Sh*ttu Isah Moriki, was presented on behalf of the family by Amina Sh*ttu.

The brief presentation took place this morning at the College, fllowing the handover, copies of the book were distributed to students through the College Librarian to support their academic development.

The college Management expressed appreciation to the family of the late author for the thoughtful contribution, noting that the donation will significantly enrich the institution’s academic resources and benefit both students, staff and communities.

MLT DEPARTMENT HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING, COMMENDS STAFF COMMITMENT.

The Head of Department, Medical Laboratory Science, Dr. Sulaiman Sani, today convened a strategic meeting with staff of the department at the College Library.

The Meeting focused on key issues aimed at strengthening Academic and Excellence, Professional Development, and Effective Service delivery within the Department.

In his address, Dr. Sani expressed profound appreciation to all staff members for their unwavering commitment, dedication, and collective efforts in training and mentoring students in the field of Medical Laboratory Technician. He noted that their contributions have continued to shape competent professionals who are making meaningful impacts in the healthcare sector.

He further urged staff to sustain their support, unity, and professionalism in order to achieve greater milestones for the department and the institution at large.

Dr. Sani also briefed on the recent developments and directives from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), emphasizing the importance of compliance with updated standards and mandates to ensure quality training and accreditation.
