After two years of designing, building and testing, a team of Stevens students has been named a champion of The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey's College Challenge: Vehicular Tunnel Catwalk Robotics! 🤖

The team’s robot, L.I.N.C., was designed to help monitor the Lincoln Tunnel’s narrow catwalks and identify potential hazards, including flooding, fires, vehicles and pedestrians.

The project culminated in an exciting real-world test: an overnight trial inside the Lincoln Tunnel, where the students put L.I.N.C. through its paces on the very catwalks it was designed to navigate.

Congratulations to Noah Golan ’27, Christian Osowski ’27, Dominic Souza ’27, Adrien Susino ’27 and Jared Surajballi ’27, along with faculty advisor Anthony Shupenko, Jr., PE, on this outstanding achievement!

Say hello to the Hub! 👋🦆

There’s a new addition to the Howe Center this semester: the Student Enrollment Services Hub, located on the first floor.

The Hub brings together several services students may need throughout the year, including:

🔸 Enrollment and student records
🔸 Billing and financial aid
🔸 Academic services and resources

The new space is a collaboration among Enrollment Management, Academic Affairs and Finance, making it easier for students to connect with the people and resources who can help.

Major news! Stevens has been named No. 30 in TIME’s inaugural America’s Best Colleges of 2026–2027 ranking, placing our university in the top 6% of nearly 500 colleges and universities nationwide — and among just two New Jersey institutions in the top 30.

The recognition is particularly meaningful as TIME’s ranking looks closely at the value and outcomes of a college education, including what students gain from their experience and where they go after graduation.

Those measures speak directly to the Stevens approach to education. Students put their learning into practice through hands-on experiences, technology, mentorship and opportunities to work on real-world challenges. They graduate prepared to apply what they know and make an impact in their fields.
