Day 6! Today our last stop on our tour was at our very own Delaware State University, where we were given a tours and had the opportunity to meet with Coach Cherelle and a couple of players from the Women’s basketball team. We also met with Coaches Stan, Vern, Shahid, and Horace of the Men's Basketball team. Sanford alum Corey Perkins and his teammates did an excellent job explaining what it takes to become and maintain playing at a D1 level. Sanford alum, Jada Jackson, '21, met up with us and also joined us during our DSU tour! Thank you so much to Mrs. Spencer and Mr. Edwards for chaperoning this trip while helping us create wonderful memories. Also, big thank you to our bus driver Mr. Ronnie for driving us all down and back up the east coast!
