Hello Everyone!

This Wednesday, April 11, 2018, we will be sponsoring a bubble tea fundraiser for $3 at the Cook Hall Lounge. The profits from the fundraiser will go towards the school of Coram-Deo Bible Ashram in India. The funds will be used to provide school supplies its students, daily meals to feed its students, and torch lights for students to study during the night.

We hope everyone can come to support our fundraiser and enjoy some delicious bubble tea!

Hello everyone! Next Saturday, we will be hosting our annual Chicago Trip! Come and enjoy lunch at China Cafe, explore Chinatown, shop at the Mitsuwa Japanese Market, discover exhibits at the Asian Heritage Art Museum, and have some fun at Navy Pier! Sign up and pay $7 at the CDI Office in the Bultman Student Center by Thursday, April 5th at 4 PM to reserve your spot on the trip.

Here's a breakdown of the awesome things we've got planned for you in Chicago (all times are in EST):

10:30am-12:15pm: Explore Mitsuwa Marketplace

Hello everyone! TODAY, on Sunday, March 11, 2018, we will host our annual Asian Heritage Celebration!

Location: Maas Conference Center
Time: 6PM-8PM
Charity donations will go towards CORAM-DEO BIBLE ASHRAM at the Balangir District in the State of Orissa, India.

We will have FREE, delicious Asian-inspired cuisines provided at the event such as Chinese, Japanese, and Indian food. Join us on fun cultural activities like henna, caligraphy, and so much more. Looking forward to see all of our members there! :)

Hello everyone! In the spirit of the Lunar New Year, we will be hosting two exciting events!

Our first event will take place tomorrow, Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 6-8PM. The event will take place at the Kruizenga Art Museum where we will explore different contemporary forms of Asian art, such as paper print decorations for the Lunar New Year, through a tour of the art exhibition. Snacks and refreshments will be provided for the event as well.

Our second event will take place on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 7PM-9PM. The event will take place in the first floor rotunda of the Martha Miller Center. In this event, we will facilitate various cultural activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Delicious food will be provided at this event.

Hope to see everyone join us on both of these fun events and celebrate the year of the dog!

Coffee Fundraiser for Cambodian Kids tomorrow at chapel!
A new student group called TASSEL (Teaching and Sharing Skills to Enrich Lives) will hold a coffee and hot chocolate fundraiser outside chapel tomorrow to support Cambodian kids living in rural communities! TASSEL is a non-profit organization focused on changing the lives of rural Cambodians through free English education, teaching job creation, food and medicine aid, and sponsorships. At Hope, we volunteer to teach Cambodian kids English through a video-chat application and raise funds for them to continue our mission. Please come help us out before and after chapel! All proceeds will go towards the kids!

Hello everyone! Coming up soon on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Mass Center Auditorium and Conference Room from 6:00-8:00pm, we will be hosting an Asian Heritage Celebration where we have planned fun and different activities such as Mehndi (Henna) designs, origami workshop, tai chi class, Bollywood dancing class, and so much more! Admission will be free; in addition, food and refreshments will be provided as well! We will also be holding a fundraiser for TASSEL as well, and we would love for you guys to support us! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Hello everyone! IRC and the Center for Global Engagement will host the International Food Fair this Saturday, 6-8pm in the Maas Auditorium!

Admission costs $5 and you will receive 5 tickets to taste delicious cuisines from different countries around the world!

Every year the International Food Fair raises funds to support a global cause. This year, we will focus on supporting a project to help install a water filter in a village outside of Holland's sister city, Querétaro, Mexico.

There will be dumplings, lentil curry, bubble waffles, egg rolls, and a lot more! Looking forward to see all of our general members there!
