Day of Giving Donations help support important teaching and research infrastructure, such as the Hope College Greenhouse. Craig Elston and Dr. Blake-Mahmud lead students on a greenhouse scavenger to explore the reproductive characteristics in plants.
In addition to housing and caring for research plants,
Mr. Elston, long-term member of the White Pine Chapter of the Michigan Botanical Society and docent at the Hudsonville Nature Center, tends to the large living collection of specimens owned by Hope College.
