Leadership gets tested before the room ever gets quiet.

In high-stress environments, leaders need more than confidence. They need the ability to adapt, recover, decide, and keep people steady when pressure starts pulling the room apart.

The Elastic Leadership Workshop is coming to Douglas County, Washington, hosted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

This two-day workshop is designed to help public safety leaders:
Lead in high-stress environments.
Avoid leadership rust.
Adapt decision-making.

On November 16, 2026, the National Command & Staff College will bring the 50 Laws of RUSTIC Leadership to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

This one-day course is built for public safety leaders who are carrying real pressure, real decisions, and real responsibility for the people they lead.

Public safety leaders are expected to make good decisions when the information is incomplete, the stakes are high, and everyone around them is looking for direction.

Elastic Leadership goes beyond bouncing back. It develops a leader’s capacity to adapt, regulate, think clearly, and continue leading effectively as conditions change around them.
