PacIOOS is excited to feature the Pacific Regional Partnership initiative as we lead up to Ocean Data Day on June 25!

The Pacific Regional Ocean Partnership (PROP) is a data-sharing initiative in partnership with PacIOOS and U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands.

PROP focuses on creating tools and providing resources for various coastal and marine planning purposes.

Today, we are introducing the American Samoa Marine Forecast Map tool: https://prop.pacioos.org/map/as_forecast

This forecast map incorporates the PacIOOS' Simulating WAves Nearshore (SWAN), WaveWatchIII (WW3), Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS), and Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model products for American Samoa.

The regional marine forecast maps are still in development and will continue to grow and evolve to respond to stakeholder needs and current regional planning/policy issues and trends.
