TRIO Student Support Services at Kapi‘olani Community College TRIO assists students to graduate and/or graduate and transfer to a baccalaureate educational institution within four years.

Eligibility
Students must:

Be enrolled at KCC (Home campus KCC)
Be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident
Meet one or more of the following criteria:
Low income as defined by federal guidelines
First generation in college (parents have not earned a Bachelor’s degree)
Documented disability
Preference given to students who are:

Degree seeking
Enrolled full time (12 credits or more/semester)
Qualif

ied for ENG 22 or higher on the COMPASS English placement test
Services
To help students graduate and succeed academically the following services are provided:

Academic advising and course selection
Transfer support services
Financial aid support – FAFSA & scholarship searches and application
Financial literacy
Tutorial assistance
Advising on non-academic concerns
Career counseling support
Midterm assessment
Cultural enrichment activities
