Chaminade University of Honolulu- Korean Language Program Course Offerings:

KOR101 (3 credits/non credit)

Designed to introduce the Korean language and characters (hangul). (Prerequisite: KOR102 or placement exam)

Provides a foundation in all aspects of language, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students study the language's orthographic and phonetic systems, grammar, syntax, and vocabulary within social and cultural contexts. (No previous training in the language is required)

KOR102 (3 credits/non credit)

Students study phonetics, grammar, syntax, and vocabulary. Emphasizes the develo

pment of communicative skills in speaking, reading, and writing. Develops the language's major social and cultural contexts. Requires students to write and discuss topics. (Prerequisite: KOR101 or placement exam)

KOR201 & KOR202 (3 credits/non credit)

Designed to assist students as they continue to learn skills in conversation, reading, and writing.
