Where do expertise in the biological sciences, human behavior and performance, and health professions come together to prepare students, advance discovery, and improve lives? Right here at Michigan Tech.

We're interrogating the intersections of systems that impact human health.
💻 How do we design technologies that people can use safely and effectively?
🧠 How do we understand the brain and behavior?
🌿 How do ecosystems function in a changing world?
⚕️ How do discoveries in biology become new therapies, better healthcare, stronger communities, or sustainable ecosystems?

Whether you're pursuing a bachelor's degree, a master's or PhD, or collaborating as a research partner, you'll join a community that values both disciplinary expertise and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Earlier this month, was honored to welcome three UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters to campus.

Members of the 3-238th General Aviation Battalion led a unique training program for members of our Army ROTC program, allowing select cadets to learn more about the aircraft as part of their development as future officers in the U.S. Army.

Among the pilots and crew were five Tech alumni:
-Capt. Justin Pavliscak '19
-Capt. Brandon Van Wert '18
-2nd. Lt. Maxx Tartamella '24
-Capt. Adam Flaim, CH-47 Pilot, '17
-1st Lieutenant Dean Johnson, CH-47 Pilot, '17

🎶Bring things back into harmony! Mental health and academic resources are to college what sheet music is to a new song; they can make learning a lot easier! (Resource links in the comments.)

We all know students love to chase new experiences, and alumni are no different!

Meet Casey Loring '19, who used the knowledge gained from his astrophysics minor to capture the recent solar eclipse from Iceland:

"I was one of only 300 on the cliffs at Látrabjarg amongst 80,000 tourists and 250,000 Reykjavík residents to get a spot through the clouds to witness totality on Iceland!" Loring said. "What an experience. I'm so lucky!"

How are you spending the last few moments of summer? Whether you're settling into life as a recent grad, finishing an internship, or working on a cool project, let us know in the comments!
