❓ Ever hear about the guy who interviewed to run the lathe at the Alley Makerspace?

😂 They turned him down.

🪵 The lathe can be used for many projects, including: holiday ornaments, bottle stoppers, honey dippers, mallets, fancy handles, bowls, cups, and even pens!

Meet the heat press, a clam-like gadget that uses 2 heated plates to bind heat-activated vinyl and fabric materials!

🦗 In the Alley, you can cut your vinyl with the cricket and go right into pressing the vinyl onto your t-shirts, sweaters, pants, and more!

❓ What is the difference between a folding stepping stool and a 3-D printer?

😂 The former is a ladder, and the latter is a former.

🖨️ Meet the 3-D printer, a large device that uses a spool of plastic filament that gets heated up at the tip, and this filament is printed onto the print platform. This was invented in 1984 and is primarily used for fast prototyping, forming custom parts, and making art projects.

🔥 Meet the soldering iron!

⚡ A soldering iron is a handheld tool that uses electricity to heat a metal tip (the “bit”). The tool is then used to join two or more metal components by melting a filler metal called solder. It is a fundamental tool in electronics repair, circuit board assembly, jewelry making, and more.

🐔 Just remember, if it smells like chicken, you might be holding it wrong. 😉
