Join us for Katrina Kaufman-VonBuren’s senior piano recital next Wednesday, September 9 at 8:00 pm in the CFA recital hall!

This performance, titled All Creation Waits, will be featuring works spanning several centuries of piano repertoire. The program brings together music from Italian, German, Austrian, Russian, and American traditions, exploring a range of musical colors from Respighi’s “Caressing Waltz” to Higdon’s “Secret & Glass Gardens.”

Today was the opening chapel service here at Houghton University! 💜💛

Our very own Houghton Choir, under the direction of Dr. Black, performed Music Down In My Soul (arr. Moses Hogan) to kick off the service. Thanks to our students for an energetic performance that shares our enthusiasm for the 2026-2027 academic year! We are excited for what God has in store for each and every member of the GSoM.

Welcome back, Highlanders! It's time for another school year here at the Greatbatch School of Music. We are wishing all of our students and staff a great start to their semester and strength to meet each day that comes!

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Chamber Choir tour! During the past ten days, current students and a few Chamber Choir alums had the privilege of traveling across NY, PA, VA, and NC to perform, meet Houghton alumni, participate in masterclasses, and make unforgettable memories. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to join the ensemble, as well as the incredible churches that hosted! It’s truly incredible to see the way God uses music to move in the lives of so many people!

Not even a dead van can stop this crew!

When one of the Houghton vans broke down on their first day on the road, the 2026 Chamber Choir tour took an unexpected turn. Thankfully we serve a faithful God who provides, and they were able to find a rental van and continue the journey! Thank you to the folks back in Houghton who continue to support their mission to share God’s love through music!
