Recovery is more than a statistic. It's a story of courage, resilience, and hope.

In recognition of National Recovery Month, UTHealth Houston unveiled RECOVERY Heroes, a traveling photography exhibition featuring 10 individuals whose journeys highlight the power of compassion, community, and second chances.

Created through Honor’s HEROES at McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics at UTHealth Houston, the exhibition will travel to communities to challenge stigma, celebrate those in recovery, and remind others that recovery is possible.

Students who participate will learn directly from HL7 International, build one working FHIR application each semester, explore the responsible use of AI, and connect with professionals shaping the future of healthcare interoperability.
