Check out Ed-U-Gator representing UHD! It was wonderful meeting prospective students and their families plus sharing what makes the UHD community so special at the Bayou Bound event hosted yesterday by our Enrollment Management team. One of the highlights was seeing families pick up the latest issue of Skyline Magazine and dive into the incredible success stories of our alumni and students!

From learning about our growing alumni traditions to discovering the strength of the UHD Alumni Network, it was exciting to see so many future students imagining themselves as part of the Gator family.

Want to help welcome the next generation of Gators? If you're a UHD alum interested in serving as an Alumni Ambassador at future student recruitment or welcome events, we'd love to hear from you! Send us a DM or reach out to the Alumni Relations Office [email protected] to learn how you can get involved.

The future is bright, and we can't wait to welcome these future alumni to campus! 🐊💙

Our greatest ambassadors are the alumni who continue to serve the university every day. On Friday, the University of Houston-Downtown Alumni Relations team and Dr. Deborah E. Bordelon welcomed our faculty and staff alumni for Pizza with the President. The afternoon was filled with meaningful dialogue, shared experiences, and a renewed commitment to strengthening our alumni community.

During facilitated discussion tables, employee alumni shared their perspectives on what it means to remain connected to UHD, explored new opportunities to engage fellow graduates, and offered thoughtful ideas for enhancing the alumni experience. Their passion, creativity, and dedication reinforced the important role employee alumni play in advancing the university's mission.

The event also celebrated the relaunch of the Employee Alumni Engagement Committee, an exciting initiative that will provide faculty and staff alumni with opportunities to volunteer, mentor, advocate for the university, and help shape future alumni programming.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversations. Your ideas will help guide the future of employee alumni engagement at UHD, and we look forward to continuing this momentum together.
