On Monday, May 11 Houston City College Center for Entrepreneurship, Central College launched its 10-week accelerator for entrepreneurs at the South Campus. This bootcamp-style initiative is designed to educate and empower early-stage small businesses with funding resources, growth strategies and the adoption and implementation of AI-enabled systems in their business growth plans.

The cohort of 16 will work intensively on their business model, receive weekly 1:1 mentoring, networking opportunities, funding resources, an AI readiness workshop led by HCC AI Faculty, and a series of Masterclass speaker sessions.

Thank you to the 16 program participants, instructors, mentors and collaborators on a successful launch week. We look forward to celebrating your successes in July! Enjoy the journey! 🎉

HCC Central’s Center for Entrepreneurship is hosting a 10-week cohort-based program designed to support and empower early-stage businesses. Participants will receive growth-oriented strategies, AI-enabled systems and tools, entrepreneurship training, mentorship, funding resources and more.

To be considered for the accelerator, applicants:
- Must be available and willing to commit to the program schedule
- Must be a for-profit business
- Must have a business plan
- Must be a legally formed and operating business in Houston or surrounding areas
- Must completed all steps of S.O.A.R application by April 30th at 5:00PM CST
- Must have demonstrated traction through revenue or funding
