Today's focus for Severe Weather Awareness Week is tornado safety!

It may surprise you, but information from raw numbers of tornado segments from 1950-2016 put Harris County as the runner up for most tornadoes per county! https://weather.com/storms/tornado/news/most-tornado-prone-us-counties

With this in mind, it's important to be prepared for tornadoes here on campus and the surrounding areas. Know what to do and where to go. On campus we have outdoor warning sirens that would activate in the case of a tornado warning in our immediate area. We'll be testing those sirens today!
