New research from the Blue Bird Circle Developmental Neurogenetic Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine reveals how calcium channel mutations may disrupt early brain development in childhood epilepsy.

The study was led by Dr. Jeffrey Noebels, director of the Blue Bird Circle Developmental Neurogenetic Laboratory, Cullen Trust for Health Care Endowed Chair in Neurogenetics, and professor of neurology, neuroscience, and molecular & human genetics.

The findings provide important insight into the biological mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders and reflect ongoing efforts to advance pediatric neuroscience research and improve patient care.
