CMT Spotlight!

Meet our VP Membership, Yazlynn Lozano, who is from Lake Jackson, Texas and is majoring in Public health with a minor in Biology.

Favorite DG Event: My favorite and most memorable DG event would have to be Fall ’24, the year I joined, when I got my big!! Getting my big has truly been one of the most heartwarming and meaningful experiences I’ve had throughout my time in Delta Gamma. Having someone who is always there to support me, encourage me, and be there during the moments I need someone most has meant more to me than I can explain. She has helped shape me into a stronger and more confident person, and I’m so grateful for the bond we’ve created.

Why I love Delta Gamma: I love Delta Gamma because it gave me a sense of community that I honestly did not expect to find in college. Coming into college, I never thought I would meet so many people who shared similar values, interests, and experiences as me. Meeting my big and getting to know other women in DG showed me how meaningful it is to have a group of people who genuinely support one another.
DG has given me the opportunity to build friendships, grow as a person, and become more involved on campus. I have met people who have encouraged me, made me feel included, and helped make my college experience more memorable. I also love that DG brings together so many different personalities while still creating such a strong sense of connection and belonging.
To me, DG is more than just being part of an organization. It is having a community of women who celebrate each other, support one another through different stages of college, and create an environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. That sense of belonging is one of the biggest reasons I love Delta Gamma.

CMT Spotlight!

Meet our VP Panhellenic, Nan Praveen, who is from Bentonville, Arkansas and is majoring in Marketing.

Favorite DG Event: My favorite DG event would have to be our sisterhood retreat. From going to Kemah Boardwalk to playing pickleball and swimming, it is always so much fun to step away from campus and spend time with our sisters. It is such a great way for all of us to connect and has helped us get so close with one another.

Why I love Delta Gamma: I love Delta Gamma because it has helped me grow into the woman I am today. Every sister is so kind, supportive, and genuinely wants to see you succeed. This type of environment was so important to me while growing in such a new environment. Stepping into a leadership position has allowed me to feel the love and support of Delta Gamma in a different way, and I can’t wait to share that same love with even more sisters!!
