Houston City College Faculty Senate

Houston City College Faculty Senate This is the page for the Houston City College Faculty Senate (FAC). All views expressed herein are solely those of the Faculty Senate.

The accomplishment of the goals of any educational institution depends on the successful interaction of the administration, the faculty and the students. It is the faculty which carries out the institution’s primary function, the education of students, and it is the proximity to both students and administration which puts the faculty in an advantageous position to assess student and institutional

needs. Therefore, it is prudent and necessary that the faculty play a role in the planning, policy-making, and decision-making processes of that institution. And that's what we do. We are the Faculty Senate of the Houston Community College District. (Technically we're the Faculty Advisory Council, but everyone just calls us the Senate).
