Texas Southern University is pleased to announce a $100,000 gift from alumnus Gary L. Millender ‘94. This generous gift establishes The Gary L. Millender Family Altruism and Achievement Endowed Scholarship, supporting College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences students with special priority given to eligible members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., with broader eligibility available when no qualified fraternity member applies.

Thanks to a generous match from the Office for Civil Rights, this gift will grow to a total impact of $200,000, doubling the resources available to support future pharmacy students.

Esaias Jones Jr., a current member of the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., reflected on the significance of Millender's gift: "Having the support of our Alumni reminds us that the work we are doing today is connected to a much larger legacy. It is encouraging to know that those who came before us continue to believe in us, support our growth, and invest in the future of our campus and community."

Alumnus Millender's gift reflects his enduring commitment to the college and his desire to invest in the success of future pharmacy students. We thank him for his generosity and continued dedication to COPHS.

For more information about giving opportunities to College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, please contact Mr. Jeffrey Joseph, Director of Development, at [email protected].
