Under the overarching theme “Mathematics for Life in a Changing World,” proposals should align with at least one of the following strands:
Mathematics Excellence for Every Learner — Practical strategies for immediate use, access, and belonging
Curriculum into Practice — High-Quality Instructional Materials, Bluebonnet Learning, and teacher decision-making
Mathematics in the Age of AI — Advancing human reasoning while embracing emerging technologies
Mathematics Beyond the Classroom — workforce, financial literacy, data, modeling, and real-world problems
Emergent Multilingual Learners — Strengthening the language of mathematics for multilingual learners
Leadership Pathways — Mathematics leadership across PreK-12, teachers leading the change, networking, and mentoring
The Rice University School Mathematics Project has opened its call for proposals for the 2026 Rice University Mathematics Educator Summit on Oct. 24. We're seeking session proposals covering mathematics excellence for every learner, curriculum into practice, mathematics in the age of AI, mathematics beyond the classroom, emergent multilingual learners and leadership pathways. Math educators, researchers and school leaders can submit session proposals by Sept. 6. View details at the link in the comments.
