🎢 AAP Austin takes on Pleasure Pier! 🎡

Our students enjoyed a fun-filled social at Pleasure Pier on Friday, where they got to eat, ride the attractions, laugh, and spend quality time with one another and their mentors outside of school!

These moments are about more than just having fun—they’re about building friendships, strengthening connections, and creating memories that last beyond the classroom. 🫶🏼

We love seeing our AAP Austin family grow together, both in and out of school!

Academic Achiever Julio Escobar is putting his education into action as a Marketing Intern with Ayming USA while pursuing his degree in Strategic Communications. ✨

In today’s increasingly competitive communications and marketing fields, experiences like these give students an important opportunity to build professional connections and gain valuable insight into the industry before graduation.
Congrats Julio 🎉

At the beginning of this month, our Austin High School AAP students had the privilege of hearing the incredible story of Ashley Quintero, a current University of Houston AAP student, who shared a journey of resilience, courage, and determination.

Ashley survived a life-and-death car accident an experience that could have stopped her in her tracks. Instead, she chose to keep moving forward.
She didn’t just survive. She turned her second chance at life into a story of purpose.

🤍Completed 5 internships
🤍Ran a 5K
🤍And is now preparing to graduate from UH this December!! 🎓❤️

Ashley shared her story with our AAP students, hoping they would see in her what she has learned through her own journey: your circumstances do not determine your future.

There will be moments when life challenges you in ways you never expected. There will be setbacks, uncertainty, and days when giving up may seem easier. But Ashley’s journey is proof that perseverance can take you places you never imagined.

For our students, hearing from someone who once sat where they are today and who has overcome so much to reach this moment is a powerful reminder that their dreams are worth fighting for.

Ashley, thank you for inspiriting the next generation of AAP students and for showing them what it truly means to keep going, keep believing, and make the most of every opportunity.
We are so proud of you, Ashley. Your story is not over it’s just beginning. 🎓✨

We were excited to welcome a wonderful group of interns from LEEP to the University of Houston for a day filled with learning, exploration, and inspiration!
Our LEEP interns had the opportunity to experience campus firsthand through campus tours led by our Academic Achievers Program (AAP) students, who shared their UH experiences, favorite campus spots, and what it’s like to be a student at UH. ❤️🤍
A special thank you to Cougar One Stop and UH Admissions for taking the time to meet with our students and share valuable information about admissions, financial aid, and the many opportunities available at the University of Houston.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this visit meaningful and inspiring. We hope our LEEP interns left with new knowledge, great memories, and a vision for their own college journey!
