Meet Mountwest Foundation Board member, Jeff Harkins. 🌟

Jeffrey M. Harkins serves as President and CEO of Woodlands Retirement Community, a role he assumed in November 2014. Jeff brings with him over 35 years of experience managing and leading senior services in standalone and multisite organizations in 6 states.

A graduate of Kansas University in Lawrence, Kansas, Jeff has Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Master of Science Degree in Health Services Administration.

Jeff has covered almost all areas of senior care, including skilled nursing, CCRCs, independent, assisted living and memory care. He is known as a passionate and energetic leader with a keen sense of customer service, community outreach, employee development, and marketing. Throughout the years, Jeff has gained extensive experience in leading strategic campus transformation, addressing significant operational challenges, developing community relations and expanding mission.

Jeff feels honored to build on the Woodlands wonderful 30-year legacy and to lead the community into the future with stability and strength.

Jeff and his wife, Lora, a teacher at Milton Middle School, have 5 children and 5 grandchildren.

It's that time of year! 💗We are gearing up for next month’s Pink Out for All event and are officially taking pre-orders for Pink Out for All swag and Krispy Kreme doughnuts, which can be picked up in the Mountwest lobby during the week of October 19-22. Proceeds benefit student scholarships.

We are pleased to share that Mountwest student, Cori Boggs, has been named a 2026 Chime Workforce Scholar, joining 200 students nationwide recognized for their academic achievement and pursuit of career-focused education. 🌟

Funded by the Chime Scholars Foundation and administered by the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation, the Chime Workforce Scholarship supports students pursuing career and technical education at two-year colleges. Each scholar will receive a $1,000 scholarship to help cover educational expenses as they complete a certificate or associate degree preparing them to enter the workforce in a high-demand field.

Allison has been an incredible asset to the Board, especially in the planning and ex*****on of our annual Plates with a Purpose event.

Allison is the owner of Sip Downtown Brasserie located in the heart of Huntington. She's a graduate of the MBA program at Marshall University and earned her culinary degree from Johnson and Wales University. Allison is married to Dr. Scott Keffer and has an adorable 9-year-old girl and is a stepmother to 4 young adults. She enjoys staying active, cooking and growing in her faith.

Meet Mountwest Foundation Board Member, Anna Ford! 🌟

Anna is an Assistant Vice President at Huntington Federal Savings Bank in Huntington, West Virginia. A proud lifelong West Virginian and 2011 graduate of Marshall University, Anna earned degrees in Accounting and Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Anna is passionate about serving her community and supporting organizations that create opportunities for others. In addition to serving on the Mountwest Foundation Board, she is currently Board Chair for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State, and a board member of the Marshall University Advisory Board for the Division of Accountancy and Legal Environment, and the West Virginia Society of CPAs. Through her professional and volunteer work, she enjoys supporting education, mentorship, and community engagement.

Outside of work and volunteering, Anna helps manage a local group fitness gym, which keeps her busy, moving, and laughing. She enjoys exercising, traveling — especially to the beach — and spending time with friends. An avid music lover and Swiftie, Anna is happiest with a great playlist, a good audiobook, a concert to look forward to, or any excuse to dance.

Meet Mountwest Foundation Board member, Amy Frasure. Amy has been a dedicated supporter of the Mountwest Foundation, including serving as our former Board President. Her leadership, expertise and commitment have been invaluable to our Foundation and the students we serve.

We’re so grateful that Amy continues to be part of the Foundation Board. Thank you, Amy, for all you’ve done and all you continue to do for Mountwest!

Amy is the founder and owner of Bullseye Total Media, a full-service advertising and communications agency headquartered in Huntington, West Virginia. Since founding the BTM in 2015, she has grown Bullseye into a full-service advertising agency of more than 20 professionals serving clients across a variety of industries.

A graduate of Ohio University, Amy began her career with Sinclair Broadcast Group before launching Bullseye. Amy serves on the boards of the Mountwest Foundation, Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce, Goodwill KYOWVA, and Little Victories Animal Rescue.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking Sunday Dinners, spending time with family and friends, and making memories with her daughter, Dru.

Ariana Shives is a founder, ecosystem builder, and connector with a B.A. in Neuroscience and an M.S. in Social Entrepreneurship from USC. She serves as Executive Director of TechConnectWV, founder and CEO of Alpenglow Labs., and Right to Start Ambassador, focused on advancing technology careers, entrepreneurship, and digital equity across West Virginia. She also mentors startups at Marshall University's iCenter for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and serves as Board President of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Huntington.

We are excited to welcome Isaac Sinclair to the Mountwest Foundation Board! 🌟

Isaac serves as Vice President of Commercial Banking for the West Virginia Metro Valley at Truist , where he joined the team in October 2025. In his role, Isaac supports businesses and the broader community by helping organizations access capital, grow responsibly, and create lasting impact—an approach strengthened by Truist’s distinctive purpose‑driven model that blends expertise, care, and community commitment. He began his career in mortgage lending before advancing into Commercial Credit and Portfolio Management, experiences that shaped his holistic approach to relationship banking and credit‑driven strategy.

A native of Summersville, West Virginia, Isaac is deeply passionate about helping his home state thrive and creating pathways to a more prosperous future for its people. He serves on several boards and committees—including the WV Chamber of Commerce Vision 2030, Hospice of Huntington WV, Friends of the Fisher House of the Tri-State, and the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center—where he supports economic development, community health, veteran families, and regional arts and culture.

Isaac is also a co‑founder of the Meet‑Up WV and Meet-Up Tri-State Networking Series, initiatives that bring together hundreds of professionals from West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky to strengthen regional collaboration and opportunity.

He holds both a Finance degree and an MBA from Liberty University. Guided by his faith and values, Isaac is committed to stewardship, service, and investing in people. Outside of work, he enjoys film, golf, outdoor tourism, and traveling—having visited 13 countries and counting.
