Two of last year’s scholarship recipients, Destiny Cintron and Josh Helton, had the opportunity to spend time yesterday with their benefactors. Roger Simmons and Jeanette Schumacher have provided more than 50 scholarships over the past 20 years in support of criminal justice students. We are so grateful for donors like them!

Madilyn is the President of the Criminal Justice Association, at Marshall University. Her group came up with the idea of an essential items drive for those in need in the Huntington area. She messaged us here and asked what our clients could use most, and then Madilyn and her peers went to work securing those items. Community leadership looks like this. We’re grateful for your initiative, compassion, and commitment to our neighbors.

Congratulations to Aidan, Class of 2025! 🎉

We are celebrating Housing and Residence Life staff who graduate this semester 🎓 Today we recognize Twin Towers West Resident Advisor Aidan McCloud.

Aidan graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. Aidan’s favorite memories of being an RA are the weekly trivia nights spent with the fellow RAs he made friends with during his first year. After graduation, Aidan will continue being an RA while attending graduate school for a master’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Congratulations to Aidan 🎉 We are grateful for his time with us and wish him all the best in his next chapter.

Congratulations to all of our December 2025 graduates! 🎉

Apparel Sale!!!

The students of Alpha Phi Sigma (National Criminal Justice Honor Society- Omega Chapter) are sponsoring an apparel fundraiser for their club. They are selling t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, blankets, & stickers with the official Criminal Justice, Criminology, & Forensic Sciences (CJCFS) department logo. These would make excellent Christmas gifts too! You can purchase them through the online store at this link:
