Before you apply to an online program at SHSU, you can talk it through with a student success specialist.

They’ll answer your questions about the program you’re interested in, suggest programs that match your goals, and explain the next steps for your application. 🐾

Picture the day this degree is finished. 🐾

Maybe it’s the walk at commencement. Maybe it’s a new title at work, or the diploma framed on the wall. Every assignment you turn in this week is part of getting there.

Before you pick spring courses, open your degree plan.

It lists every course you still need. Check which ones have a prerequisite you haven’t taken yet, so the order works out. 🐾

Working full time and earning a master’s? 🐾

What do you wish someone had told you before your first term? Someone deciding right now will read your answer. Leave it in the comments.

Check your grade book before midterms.

Look for missing assignments, grades that haven’t posted, and anything that doesn’t match what you turned in. A question sent this week has time to get answered before the exam. 🐾

Cybersecurity Awareness Month starts today, and the first step CISA recommends is the one that applies to a student inbox most: recognize and report phishing.

The fake “your account will be suspended” email, the “your professor shared a document” link, the text about a package. Check the sender’s address, not the display name. Go to the site yourself instead of clicking. Report it to the university help desk.

One suspicious email reported is one fewer that reaches the next person. 🐾
