Checking out books this summer? The Summer Privileges Extension Form is available on the library homepage under Services (both Undergraduate and Graduate tabs). If you’re registered for fall but not taking summer classes, fill out the form so we can extend your checkout privileges!

Starting May 28th, Newton Gresham Library will begin our summer hours. During this time, the library will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 9:50 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:50 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:50 PM, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 9:50 PM. Please plan your visits accordingly.

Memorial Day began in 1868 as “Decoration Day,” when communities gathered to honor fallen service members by decorating their graves. It became a federal holiday in 1971 and continues to serve as a time of reflection and gratitude.

NGL will be closed Monday, 5/25 for Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday and be open from 8 am to 4:50pm. Thursday, our new summer hours will start from 7:30 am to 9:50 pm.

Meet Dr. Misty Schattle! She is the Subject Librarian for the School of Teaching and Learning, Counselor Education, and Library Science and Technology. She also takes care of building our Children’s and Juvenile Literature collection on the third floor.
